Orgelbau Simon , today Orgelbau Lothar Simon & Sohn , is an organ building company in Muddenhagen , a district of the town of Borgentreich in the East Westphalian district of Höxter .

history

Lothar Simon (* 1932), who built the organ a. a. learned in the companies Späth , Euler and Feith , founded the company in 1969 in Muddenhagen after the master craftsman's examination. His son Bernd Simon (* 1962) has been working in his parents' company since 1979. Since 1993 the company has been called Orgelbau Lothar Simon & Sohn. At the end of 2004, Lothar Simon left the company for reasons of age at the age of 72.

The organ building company mainly delivers to East Westphalia, South Westphalia, North Hesse and the Trier and Koblenz area, but has also exported works to Norway, Poland and Luxembourg. By 1991 over 100 new organs were built, and by 2013 over 160 works.
