Lilly from Sauter
Lilly von Sauter (born June 19, 1913 as Juliane Pleschner , daughter of Hans Gallus Pleschner and his wife Maria née Grünberger, in Vienna ; † March 7, 1972 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian poet , poet and translator.
Life
From 1931, she studied art history and archeology in Vienna and in 1936 with Julius von Schlosser to Dr. phil. PhD. In 1936 she married Heinz von Sauter , with whom she has two sons.
From 1945 she worked as a diverse cultural journalist , including for the Salzburger Nachrichten and Radio Tirol . For her academic work at the Institut Français d'Innsbruck , she received the Innsbruck Art Promotion Prize in 1958 .
In 1962 she was appointed curator of the collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum at Ambras Castle . For her participation in the exhibition Vienne à Versailles , she was accepted into the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres . In 1970 she was awarded the Cross of Merit of the State of Tyrol and was appointed to the cultural advisory board of the Tyrolean state government.
