This list of the Austrian ambassadors in Persia and Iran shows all ambassadors working for Austria in diplomatic matters towards Persia and the successor state Iran from 1872 until today (2012).

history

In 1955 an Austrian embassy was set up again in Tehran and charged with Eugen Buresch. For the time being, the seat of the envoy remained in Ankara , where the future Foreign Minister Dr. Erich Bielka . The legation was upgraded to an embassy in 1960 , and the area of ​​office extended to Iran and Afghanistan.
