1877/1878 Architecturally high-quality plastered building in the style of the Italian Renaissance.

The building was built by Franz Wolf according to his own design. In the course of time it has had various uses, including a memorial site for the workers' movement, since on January 15, 1919, following the meeting of the Zwickau Spartakusbund, it was decided on the initiative of Fritz Heckert to found a local KPD group. Today it is used as an administration building and training center for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Factory owner's villa (with original interior fittings) as well as rear building, front garden and enclosure Outer Schneeberger Strasse 35
(map)
1875-1876 Of architectural and artistic importance, as the former villa of the coal works owner Carl Gottlieb Falck of importance to the city's history.

The cultural monument is a broad, two-story villa with excellent interior fittings. It rises above a square plan. The villa has a back building, the front garden and the fence. The property was designed in 1875 by the important Zwickau master builder Franz Hermann Wolf, built under his direction and handed over to the client Carl Gottlieb Falck, the owner of the estate and coal works, in November 1876. The lavishly designed plastered facades are characterized by decorative and dividing elements typical of the period, such as B. a rustic boss ashlar in the base area, profiled cornices, window frames with profiled window walls and horizontal window roofing on the ground floor or triangular gable roofing on the upper floor and medallions made of sandstone or plastering with labels. The smooth plaster itself on the ground floor is made as a square plaster and covered with diamond blocks. The upper floor is designed with plastered mirrors and ribbons. The central projection on the street-side main facade, which extends over three axes, is of particular design importance. Here the windows on the ground floor are separated by columns. Originally, the central opening was a door as access to the terrace in front of the building, which was still in the original, except for the balustrade. On the upper floor the parapets are still covered with balusters, the window openings are flanked by fluted columns and pilasters. The three-axis roof bay above is provided with a segmental arch crown with a woman's head and palm fronds. The three rectangular windows are flanked on the outside by pilasters and separated by caryatids. The slate-covered, curved mansard roof was provided in 1948 by the owner at the time, "Administration of the Coal Industry Saxony", with roof incisions in the form of standing windows as part of the attic expansion. The winter garden in the southwest corner of the building from the time it was built is unfortunately now covered with a wooden structure. The terrace in front with a curved flight of steps, which originally led down into the garden, has been preserved in the original. On the north side there is a small entrance porch with triangular gable roofing, in which two griffins are vividly depicted, flanking a cartouche with the year “1875”. The original two-winged house entrance door with segmented arched skylight, decorated with carvings and wrought-iron grille, has been preserved. Immediately above it sits a high, arched staircase window with segmented arch roofing. The shutters that originally existed on the entire building are unfortunately only partially available. Inside, the original high-quality interior such as B. Staircase, parquet floors, stucco ceilings, doors, partly silk wall coverings, wood paneling and others. The design, the original floor plan, the interior fittings and the external appearance impressively document a first-class villa building of a lordly character, for which there are few comparable examples in Zwickau. (Zwickau City Administration - Lower Monument Protection Authority.)

Broad, two-storey plastered building on a square floor plan, base of bossed ashlar, ground floor plastered ashlar studded with diamond ashlar, upper floor smooth plaster, there medallions marked Anno 1876, central projection over three axes with a terrace in front on the ground floor, on the upper floor the window parapets with balusters flanked by window openings and pilasters, pilasters and caryatids flanking three axes in the roof bay with segment arch crowning, the window frames with profiled window walls and horizontal window roofing or on the upper floor with triangular gable roofing, all windows designed as rectangular windows, on the north side in the middle of the house entrance, the entrance porch with triangular gable roofing are shown flanking a cartouche with the year “1875”, original double-leaf house entrance door with segmented arched skylight, carvings and wrought iron grille, above de m house entrance high round-arched staircase window with segmental arch roofing, laterally on the southwest corner winter garden with a terrace in front and curved flight of stairs leading into the garden, hipped roof built in 1948, in the curved slate-covered mansard areas roof incisions with standing windows, inside extremely valuable interior, large, Grand stairwell, representative, richly stuccoed hallway on the upper floor partly still with silk wall coverings and remnants of the historical painting, richly profiled stucco ceilings partly with wood inlay painting, bathrooms with two proven high-quality paintings, former winter garden on the ground floor with proven decorative painting, original mainly double-leaf door systems, partly glazed with etched panes or lead glass, parquet floors with ornamental design elements, wall paneling, etc., long standing empty and in neglect , Rear building: on an angular floor plan, two-storey, smooth plaster, horizontal window canopies, hipped roof, from the time of construction with stables, carriage shed, room for coachman, crockery, oven / kitchen, laundry room, servant apartment, feed floor.

villa Outer Schneeberger Strasse 49

1859 Structurally simplified historicism villa of architectural significance.

Two-storey building with a central risalit on an approximately square floor plan, ground floor completely changed, upper floor with pilaster strips, group of three windows in the middle connected by blind arches, cube frieze on the cornice, triangular gable above the central risalit with a console frieze, the gable crowned with acroteries, no remarkable original interior. The cultural monument is a two-story villa with a mezzanine floor. It was designed in 1858 by the Zwickau master builder Ferdinand Herold and built under his direction the following year. The building owner and client was Zwickau city councilor W. Bamberger, director of the JE Devrient chemical factory. The property is on the arterial road to Schneeberg. It is known that since the middle of the 19th century trade and industry have increasingly settled on the arteries of the Saxon large and medium-sized cities and, with their new buildings, have condensed and shaped their edges. The early choice of a villa location in this area is unusual and therefore particularly remarkable. Presumably, the close proximity to the factory site was a criterion for the choice of location. The design will of the classically trained master builder can be seen in the squat, rectangular floor plan, the plinth-like mezzanine floor, the strict two-storey structure, the tent roof, the mass proportions and the facade decoration. Two central projections divide the long sides. Their gable roofs penetrate the main roof at right angles and thus determine the intersection of the main axes of the house. The courtyard-side risalit protrudes more strongly from the front and emphasizes the transition to the garden area with the former terrace open staircase. The elevation of the facade proves to be equally clear. The gable sides are triaxial like the central projectile. The three main cornices balance the vertical emphasis. The storability of the ground floor area was formerly reinforced by a plaster block. The counterpart to this is the entablature-like upper end of the building supported on corner pilasters, with the protruding crown cornice adorned with serrations.

1872, later reshaped Plastered construction of architectural historical importance.

The cultural monument is a three-story apartment building with a mezzanine floor in open development. It was designed in 1872 by the important master builder Franz Wolf from Zwickau as a two-storey house and built under his direction. The client was the top climber Christian Friedrich Franke. The original floor plan structures have largely been preserved. After the paper wholesaler Rudolf Erler had acquired the building, he had a second floor added and the former, one-story veranda converted into a two-story, massive extension. Reason as of Sept. 99: The cultural monument is originally a two-storey two-family residential building with a mezzanine floor, in open development. It was designed in 1872 by the important Zwickau master builder Franz Wolf and built under his direction. The builder and client was the top climber Christian Friedrich Franke. In 1922 the building received a massive extension and a second floor. A. Henning is responsible for the planning. The client for this was Rudolf Erler, a paper wholesaler.
