(map)
around 1600 (old mill house, roof structure) Well-preserved mill complex of great importance in terms of local history and architectural history as well as shaping the landscape.

Picturesque in the Bachaue of the Mülsenbach not far from the small village Schlunzig, which today belongs to Zwickau, is the "Klatschmühle". The watermill was first mentioned in 1555 as the property of "Simon the Klatschmüller". The name "Klatsch Mühle" (1825 in today's spelling) should be derived from "Klatschen" in the sense of "clatter". But also the “clapping” of the coachmen with their whips at the ford below the mill, which signaled that they wanted to pass the ford, would have led to the naming of the mill.

After several changes of ownership, the Tzschentschler family bought the mill in 1816, and it is still in their possession today. The mill was operated as an oil, flour and saw mill until 1930/31. After the old flour mill was demolished, a modern five-storey grinding mill building was erected, in which flour and fodder were initially produced (today fodder meal and crushed fodder). The old sawmill was probably shut down at the same time. It is unknown how long the oil mill was in operation.

The mill complex includes the miller's house, originally a half-timbered house from the 17th century, which was rebuilt in 1930/31 and 1975. The five-story mill from 1930/31 is attached to this house. When the mill was rebuilt, the oil mill building from the 19th century, which is connected to the north of the mill building, was preserved. To the south-east, next to the mill building, there is a side building from the early 17th century, originally a stable, mountain room and old part of the mill, today a shop and storage room. The former barn in the west of the courtyard, probably from the 17th century, was rebuilt in 1984 while retaining the old roof structure. The former pig and horse stable, a half-timbered building from the beginning of the 19th century, which is now used as a residential building, forms the end of the courtyard on the street side. The building of the old sawmill, in the core probably still 17th century, which stands on the other bank of the mill ditch opposite the grinding mill building, is remarkable. After the saw was shut down and the saw frame was removed, it was converted into a storage shed, with parts of the old construction being retained.

Grinder mill interior from 1931, cutting mill without interior fittings. The originally existing overshot water wheel was replaced by a turbine in 1924, which was still functional in 2008. (LfD / 2008)
