List of cultural assets in Seedorf BE

The list of cultural assets in Seedorf BE contains all objects in the municipality of Seedorf in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of October 29, 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects of category A are not shown in the municipality, objects of category B are fully included in the list, objects of category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Former monastery of the Cistercians , founded in 1131 as a subsidiary of the Lützel monastery and today used as a retirement and nursing home. Only parts of the four-wing complex have survived, but the four-sided monastery around the former cloister is still recognizable. The southern transept and bell tower of the monastery church, which was largely demolished in 1531, still stand .

Church building built in the 12th century on a burial ground, partly in Romanesque style. Spacious hall church with a polygonal choir from 1716/17 instead of the original rectangular choir. The tower, newly built in 1640, has a clock gable and a pointed helmet from the second half of the 19th century. Inside there are remains of wall paintings from the 13th and 14th centuries.
