List of cultural assets in Ins

The list of cultural assets in Ins contains all objects in the municipality of Ins in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Remains of an abandoned hill fort from the 11th century. It was the ancestral seat of the barons or counts of Fenis and was destroyed by an earthquake in 1117. Some earth walls, terraces, the castle hill and approaches to the moat have been preserved.

The farmhouse, built in 1803, was the home and studio of the painter Albert Anker from 1860 onwards . The extremely stately post structure consists of the west-facing residential part over vaulted cellar and the economic part with barn, stables, carriage shed and oven house annex in the east. The longitudinal facades of the living area consist of four arched windows and side arbors , while the coloring of the ground floor imitates a half-timbered structure .

The farmhouse , which has existed since 1553, was originally one floor and was soon significantly expanded. The south facade, above the basement, which is only slightly deepened, has coupled windows with profiled walls in Neuchâtel stone and a protruding partial hipped roof . In the north there is a remarkable barn complex with servants' parlor, a solid building with a partially basement and an upper floor in post-and-beam construction .

The manor house , built around 1740, is an elegant plastered building under a heavy mansard roof . The five-axis main front is framed by smooth pilaster strips made of shell sandstone, the arched central portal has a narrow roof with volute fringes . On the courtyard side there is a half-timbered extension over a massive basement. The building rises on the street side above a cellar terrace.

Group of ten burial mounds from the Hallstatt period . The dead were buried with amber , ceramics, jewelry and weapons. Special gifts were found in some graves, including bronze vessels ( situla ), glass, remains of crockery, wheels and wagons and a golden hanger.

The church building, which has existed since the 11th century and is essentially Romanesque , was almost completely rebuilt by Abraham Dünz around 1650 and 1667/68 , giving it the shape of a hall church ; the church tower attached to it dates from 1541. Paul Zehnder created new glass paintings in 1956/57. Nearby stands the 1727/28 Built in 1760/61, designed by Niklaus Sprüngli Advanced rectory , a stately two-story stucco building with vaulted cellar and gazebo in post and beam construction .
