List of members of the party executive committee of the SED

This list of the members of the SED party executive covers the period from the compulsory unification of the SPD and KPD to form the SED from 1946 to 1950. On the III. At the Congress of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany , a Central Committee based on the Soviet model was elected for the first time, replacing the party executive that had previously been in office. Composition of the party executive between the 1st and 2nd party congress of the SED

The board was elected at the unification convention on April 21 and 22, 1946 . He is to be regarded as the forerunner of the later Politburo and the Central Committee of the SED .
