List of NFL champions
The list of NFL champions includes all teams in the National Football League that won the NFL championship between 1920 and 1969. Since 1970, the NFL championship in the Super Bowl has been decided between the master of the National Football Conference and the master of the American Football Conference .

After 1969
From 1967 to 1970, the NFL champions played another final against the champion of the competitive league American Football League , which was then called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game . In 1970 the NFL and AFL merged, and today's National Football Conference and American Football Conference were created , the champions of which continue to contest the " Super Bowl " to this day . The four final games were retrospectively named " Super Bowl I ", " Super Bowl II ", " Super Bowl III " and " Super Bowl IV ".
