The NFL season in 1926 was the seventh season of American Football League National Football League (NFL). The champions of the league were the Frankford Yellow Jackets .

Four new teams entered the championship with the Brooklyn Lions , Hartford Blues , Los Angeles Buccaneers and Louisville Colonels . The Racine Legion took part in the game as Racine Tornadoes after a year break . The multiple championship winner Canton Bulldogs was no longer there .

The Rock Island Independents played in the newly formed American Football League this season .
