The NFL season in 1929 was the tenth season of American Football League National Football League (NFL). The champions of the league were the Green Bay Packers .
The Pottsville Maroons played as Boston Bulldogs in the 1929 season before ceasing to play. With the Staten Island Stapletons , Orange Tornadoes and the Minneapolis Red Jackets three new teams were added. The Buffalo bison took part in the competition again after a year break.
The Chicago Cardinals game at the Providence Steam Roller was the first NFL floodlit game.
