Their first home game took place on October 26, 1924 against the Rock Island Independents , where they won with 23: 7 for the first time. Prior to the 1925 season, the Kansas City team became Cowboysrenamed. This was done to take into account the western tradition of the region. In the 1925 season, the team only played away games. The following season in 1926 was the Cowboys' most successful season. This season only two home games were played. The team won eight of eleven games and finished the season in fourth place in the table. During all three seasons, the Muehlebach Stadium was the home of the Blues / Cowboys. After the season, the team was closed by the NFL as one of ten teams as part of a restructuring of the entire league. The team was coached by LeRoy Andrews , who held this position for all three game years. Andrews was also active as a player on the team.
