List of cities in Jordan
The list of cities in Jordan provides an overview of the population development in the larger cities of the Middle East state of Jordan .
By far the largest metropolitan region in Jordan is Amman with a population of 4,119,500 ( 2015 census ). This means that around 40 percent of the country's people live in the capital region.
The following table contains the cities with more than 15,000 inhabitants, their names in German transcription and in Arabic as well as the results of the censuses (VZ) of December 10, 1994, October 2, 2004 and November 30, 2015. The government is also listed, to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
