List of Permanent Representatives of Turkey to the World Trade Organization
The Turkish government has had a mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva since 1996 .
history
With the conclusion of the Uruguay round of negotiations, the World Trade Organization replaced the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade in 29 separate multilateral agreements. It was founded on April 15, 1994 with the signing of the Final Act in Marrakech (Morocco). Representatives of the Turkish government signed the agreement establishing the WTO of the Uruguay Round in Marrakech. Turkey became a member of the World Trade Organization on March 26, 1995.
