The Lords of Rohr built the church around 1320 in the Romanesque style. The first documentary mention of it comes from 1367. The building has been rebuilt several times over the centuries (including baroque changes), the last renovation was in 1995. The inside of the nave is 18 m long and 7.5 m wide, the choir 3 m long. The most striking part is the 30 m high, 6 m long and 5.5 m wide tower. This is likely to have existed as a defense and residential tower before the church was built.

The old country road through the Steyrtal led here over the Schmiedleitner Bach. The existing bridge was renewed in 1787 as an arch bridge in stone. It lost its importance after the construction of a steel road bridge in 1876 high above the valley floor. In 1955 the steel bridge was replaced by a reinforced concrete bridge.

Steyr breakthrough

The former railway bridge of the Steyrtalbahn over the Tiefengraben near Steyrbruchbruch is used today by the Steyrtalradweg . It was built in 1908 and restored in 1991. The span is 80 m, the clear height 40 m. The bridge connects the communities of Grünburg and Micheldorf .

Steyr breakthrough

The former railway bridge over the Plangraben near the Steyr breakthrough is now used by the Steyrtal cycle path . It was built in 1908 and restored in 1991. The span is 51 m, the clear height 22 m.

The factory was built in 1907/1908 as a cardboard factory. In the 16th century there was a saw and grain mill at this point, which was converted into a sheet metal rolling mill in the 19th century.

The parish church has a west tower with a baroque onion helmet, a single-nave nave and a retracted, three-bay choir with a three-eighth end. The nave and choir are spanned by ribbed vaults. The altars are neo-Gothic, the pulpit was built around 1770. In the northern chapel there is a good tabernacle altar with a remarkable group of crosses from the third quarter of the 18th century.

The castle was probably built around 900 and was mentioned in a document in 1140. Some remains of the wall, an archway and a passage are the last visible evidence of its existence.

The castle goes back to a building yard built by Wilhelm von Rohr in 1397 . The later owners from the family of the Zelkinger formed the Feichta valley castle from it . It was given its current baroque appearance in 1724 by the Salburger , who renamed it Neu-Leonstein . It has housed a state children's home since 1945. The original interior is lost.

The Schmiedleithen cowshed was built in 1891 and was a model livestock farm in its day. On the first floor there was also accommodation for the milker who had to look after the 25 cows.

The workers of the scythe factory lived in the smith's house. Around 100 people were employed in the company. The blacksmith's room on the first floor was the dining room and lounge. All employees of the forge were fed here. Most of them also lived in the blacksmith's house.

The old manor house is essentially the oldest building in the Schmiedleithen. It was mentioned for the first time in 1603 and continuously expanded. The classicistic-Biedermeier appearance is essentially based on the adaptations in the 19th century by the trades Gottlieb Hierzenberger and Ludwig Zeitlinger. The terracotta reliefs by Hans Pontiller in the window lunettes and above the portal were added in 1920.

The old hammer was in the center of the facility. About transmission shafts that were dick hammers and other units of the forging driven. After the demise of the forge, they wanted to convert the hall into a concert hall. However, this plan was not fully implemented.

In addition to vegetables, flowers, herbs and berries were also planted in the manor garden. In the middle there is a fountain. The heatable glass house also grew citrus fruits and plants that the trades brought back from their travels to the south.

The street side of the Großpreissenlehen is divided into five axes. The basement is grooved. The window openings are barred, these bars made of wrought iron are fixed in the reveal and do not protrude. A painting depicting a mercy seat is located above the entrance . This image goes beyond the floor level. The upper floor is structured by pilasters. The window frames are crowned with ornaments. The windows on the upper floor are equipped with remarkable, artfully designed basket grids. The house was formerly owned by Messerer publishers. The publishers were middlemen for the goods made by the knives .
