"Höll" rock art station

The "Höll" is a rock fall area and lies at an altitude of around 1300  m between the steeply sloping walls of the Stubwieswipfels and the Schwarzeck. In 1957, scratches were found on some rock fall blocks, and in 1958 the first scientific inspection took place. There are a total of 13 picture rocks in the valley, as well as more on the bordering slopes. The crawl stone is one of the most distinctive rocks with incised marks . The "Höll" is one of the most important rock art deposits in Austria.

The rock art station "Höll" extends over the two cadastral communities Spital am Pyhrn and Gleinkerau.

The large column with the Trinity group and the angels was created by Veit Königer in 1771 . In 1997, after extensive restoration, the column was put up again in front of the collegiate church. She is now a little closer to the church and looks at the place instead of the church entrance as before.

The portal is part of the Bosruck railway tunnel of the Pyhrnbahn from Linz to Selzthal. The cuboids for both portals are made of dolomitic limestone and come from a quarry on the north side of the tunnel. The south portal is in Ardning.

The forge was established around 1300 and served as the monastery court blacksmith until 1808. After the abbey was dissolved, it existed as an independent commercial enterprise until the middle of the 20th century.

Four blacksmiths and their apprentice worked on three meals on the ground floor and one on the first floor in the court blacksmith's dining room . On the occasion of the national exhibition "Land of Hammers - Heimat Eisenwurzen" in 1998, the Essenhaus was restored and made accessible to the public. Until today (November 2017) show forging in the summer months. With water wheel with fluder .

The Weinmeisterkapelle was founded in 1813 by the scythe factory Gottlieb Weinmeister in memory of his late wife, zzilia, née. Zeitlinger erected. Since then, the chapel has served the Weinmeister family as a family chapel. Good grille from the "court forge" of Mathias Lindemayr. Renovation of the chapel in 1986.

The Ochsenwald Chapel was built in 1708 by the scythe factory Balthasar Hierzenberger in memory of his late wife Maria. The Marienkapelle is located at an altitude of approx. 1130  m and can be reached on foot from the end of the Dr.-Vogelgesang-Klamm in approx. 20-30 minutes.

After the fire in Windischgarsten in 1728, the citizens of the market vowed an annual pilgrimage to the Mother of God in the pilgrimage church of Frauenberg an der Enns . On the way from Windischgarsten over the Arlingsattel ( 1425  m ) to the pilgrimage church, seven chapels, including the Ochsenwald chapel, were built as prayer and resting places.

Block picture pillar, shaft with a square cross-section and entasis , above a cuboid made of Spital marble, provided with cast-iron medallions on three sides : Emperor Franz I (Austria) or Franz II on the street side, on the Upper Austrian side Leopold III. , on the Styrian side Josef the foster father (the respective state patron), built around 1815, restored in 2007.

Commemorates the liberation of Austria from French troops who crossed the Pyhrn Pass in 1809 .

The wayside shrine is wrongly kept in Spital am Pyhrn, but it is already in Styria .
