The parish was first mentioned in 1429. Only the outer walls and the basement tower of the originally Gothic building have been preserved. After fires, the nave was rebuilt in 1669 and 1732, and baroque additions were made in 1751 . The church has a late baroque interior. The high altar painting from the first half of the 18th century is attributed to Michelangelo Unterberger .

The local history museum, to which the inventory of a grocer from the 19th century belongs, goes back to the collection of the farmer Johann Schodl, who died in 1972. It is housed in the former Halterhaus. A kitchen museum has been set up in the apartment of the Halterhaus , in which various kitchens from the 20th century are presented.
