The parish church goes back to a chapel built in 1703 and 1724, which was rebuilt after fires in 1858 and 1864. The architect Hubert Gangl designed the extension to the north, which was carried out from 1910 to 1912, and the extensions to the nave . The picture on the high altar dates from 1864.

The neo-Gothic - neo - Romanesque chapel was consecrated in 1890. The two Gothic columns on the arched gate come from the Barbarakapelle of Wolkersdorf Castle, which was demolished in 1889. In 1909 the chapel was expanded according to plans by the architect Hans Schneider . 1970 another north. The stained glass in the chapel was created in the early 20th century.

The baroque hall church has a Gothic choir that was built before 1350. The nave was renewed in 1727. In 1754 the tower and baroque additions to the choir were built. The baroque high altar dates from 1768. The church was restored in 1968.

The medieval castle was first mentioned in a document in 1187. The outer walls and tower basements have been preserved from the core system from the first half of the 13th century. Several renovations took place in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. In 1706, Emperor Charles VI. transform the four-wing complex into a hunting lodge . In 1956 a restoration took place, from then until its dissolution in 2002 the district court was housed in the castle. During a restoration in 2014, the remains of a bastion wall from the 16th century were uncovered.
