		Lock ObjectID:  8684	Schlossplatz 2 KG location : Wolkersdorf	The medieval castle was first mentioned in a document in 1187. The outer walls and tower basements have been preserved from the core system from the first half of the 13th century. Several renovations took place in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. In 1706, Emperor Charles VI. transform the four-wing complex into a hunting lodge . In 1956 a restoration took place, from then until its dissolution in 2002 the district court was housed in the castle. During a restoration in 2014, the remains of a bastion wall from the 16th century were uncovered.
