The originally Baroque church, whose facade tower was built around 1700 and the north aisle in 1731, was rebuilt and expanded in 1950 according to plans by the architect Josef Vytiska . The sculptor Karl Jamöck created the reliefs on the flat ceiling in the interior.

The double Middle Neolithic circular moat, located southwest of Gnadendorf between Zaya and Gießbach, was discovered through aerial photographs in 1981. The diameter of the outer ring is approx. 74 meters, that of the inner one up to 55 meters. The remains of the settlement on the site belong to both the moat itself and a younger, possibly late antique settlement.
