List of East Timorese ambassadors to China
This is the list of the East Timorese ambassadors to the People's Republic of China .

The People's Republic of China was one of twelve states that recognized the Democratic Republic of East Timor, which was proclaimed on November 28, 1975 . China also supported East Timor against the Indonesian occupation that followed just nine days after independence was declared. After East Timor regained its independence on May 20, 2002, the People's Republic was the first state to recognize the new country. East Timor has an indigenous Chinese minority. In addition, several thousand citizens of the People's Republic work in East Timor. The East Timorese in China are mostly students.
In December 2004 Leonor Cardoso Mendes Mota opened the new East Timorese embassy in Beijing . It is located in the 203B Dong Wai Diplomatic Office Building, Chao Yang District.
