List of the statistical city districts of Marburg
In order to improve the statistical usability of the urban development of Marburg , a new division and numbering of the core city and the suburbs were made in 1996. The number of statistical districts rose from 29 to 33. At the same time, the numbering was systematized. The first digit determines whether the entire city (1) is meant or whether it is the core city (2) or an outer city district (3) , the second digit defines the urban area (1-9) . The third digit (1-9) defines the statistical district itself.
