List of Jesus novels

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Among the fictional biographies there are a number of novels that have the life of Jesus as a theme or background.

Many novels about the New Testament depict the life of Jesus of Nazareth or Jesus Christ . Other novels use the time about the life of Christ only as a framework or background plot, in which the actual plot is embedded, or only deal with the time after his death at the beginning of Christianity. Still other novels attempt a satirical or ironic approach to the subject. Some novels on all three variants of the treatment of the subject sparked fierce controversy and met with strong criticism, especially when they were presented with contemporary or revealing means.
