Liu Tingting ( Chinese  劉 婷婷  /  刘 婷婷 , Pinyin Liú Tíngtíng; born October 29, 1990 ) is a Chinese hammer thrower .

Athletic career

In 2011 she won silver at the Asian Championships in Kobe and retired from the World Championships in Daegu with 63.12 m in qualification. In 2013 another silver medal followed at the Asian Championships in Pune and another preliminary round at the World Championships in Moscow . Two years later she won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in Wuhan , but again did not get beyond the qualification at the World Championships in Beijing with 67.07 m .

In 2016 she took part in the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for the first time and threw the hammer in qualifying at 69.14 m, which was not enough for the final. In 2017 she won her third silver medal at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with 69.45 m, this time behind her compatriot Luo Na . Two years later she took part in the World Championships in Doha again and was eliminated from the qualification there with a width of 67.11 m .

In 2018, Liu became the Chinese hammer throw champion.
