Lothar Wölfle

Lothar Wölfle (born April 19, 1958 in Donaueschingen ) is a CDU local politician from Baden-Württemberg . From 1994 to 2007 he was mayor of the city of Trossingen and has been the district administrator of the Lake Constance district since May 2007 .

education and profession

Wölfle attended the Fürstenberg-Gymnasium in Donaueschingen since 1968 and joined the Junge Union in 1973 and the CDU in 1976. In 1974 and 1975 he spent a year at a high school in Torrance , California with the exchange organization AFS Intercultural Encounters , where he obtained a high school degree. In 1978 he passed the Abitur at the Fürstenberg high school. He then did his military service in the Bundeswehr until 1980 and was elected to the municipal council of the city of Donaueschingen in 1980, where he was CDU parliamentary group leader until 1984. In 1980 he began studying law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , which he completed in 1984 with the first state examination. After the legal clerkship at the District Court of Constance , the second state examination followed in 1987. He then worked as a lawyer in Villingen-Schwenningen until 1994 .

Political career

In 1994 he was elected mayor of the city of Trossingen. From 1995 to 1999 he was chairman of the Tuttlingen CDU district association and between 1999 and 2007 was a member of the Tuttlingen district council . From 2000 to 2007 he was chairman of the regional association of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region and between 2002 and 2007 a member of the board of the Baden-Württemberg City Council .

In 2004 Wölfle ran for the office of Lord Mayor in Nürtingen , but was defeated in the second ballot by the SPD politician Otmar Heirich . In 2007, the district assembly of the Lake Constance district elected him to the district administrator with 40 out of 63 votes. The parliamentary groups of the CDU and the Free Voters voted for Wölfle . The SPD , Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , the FDP and the ÖDP voted against Wölfle . He took office in May 2007. His successor as Mayor of Trossingen was Clemens Maier ( non-party ).

Other offices

In his role as district administrator, Wölfle is also chairman of the administrative board of Sparkasse Bodensee , chairman of the supervisory board of Wirtschaftsförderung Bodenseekreis GmbH and chairman of the administrative board of the Oberschwäbische Elektrizitätswerke (OEW) and member of the supervisory board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG .

Private

Lothar Wölfle is married and has one son. He has lived in the Löwental district of Friedrichshafen since 2007 .
