Günther Karl Lothar von Wurmb (born January 30, 1824 in Kölleda , † July 28, 1890 in Wiesbaden ) was a German administrative lawyer, officer and member of parliament in Prussia.

origin

Lothar came from the old Thuringian noble family von Wurmb . He was the son of Karl Wurmb von Zinck (1795–1890) and his wife Wilhelmine Christiane, born von Hopffgarten (1800–1865).

Life

Wurmb studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University . With Adolf Hilmar von Leipziger he became active in the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg in 1843 . In 1850 he passed the trainee exam . In 1853 he entered the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia and came to Potsdam as a government assessor . In 1854 he was transferred to Merseburg in the province of Saxony . From 1857 he was district administrator in the Weißenfels district . During the German War in 1866 he was civil commissioner for the Kingdom of Saxony . In 1867 he became police chief in Berlin . Finally, in 1872, Wurmb became President of the District of Wiesbaden for 18 years. There he became effective in 1886 . Go Appointed Upper Government Council. From 1874 to 1890 he was director of the Nassau Association for Natural History . Wurmb was a major in the Prussian army , dean of Merseburg Cathedral and Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John .

As a parliamentarian he worked in the Reichstag (North German Confederation) in 1867 and in the Reichstag (German Empire) in Berlin from 1884 to 1890 . From 1882 to 1885 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives as a member of the Reich and Free Conservative Party . From 1885 until his death he sat in the Prussian mansion .

family

Wurmb married on June 6, 1854 in Rudolstadt Emma Freiin von Gleichen called von Rußwurm (1833-1901), the daughter of the princely Schwarzburg-Rudolstädter Chamberlain and Colonel Alfred Freiherr von Gleichen called von Rußwurm and Sophie Countess of Spaur and Flavon. The couple had several children:
