history

Lottengrün was first mentioned in 1267 as "Lotthengrune" in the document book of the bailiffs of Weida and Gera . In contrast to the neighboring town of Tirpersdorf, Lottengrün belonged partly to the Electoral Saxon and Royal Saxon offices of Plauen and Voigtsberg until the 19th century . The manorial rule over the Plauen part was in 1542 partly with the parish Theuma and the manor Mechelgrün lower part, around 1764 with the manor Mechelgrün lower part. The Voigtsberg portion of Lottengrün was partly under the manorial power of the parish of Oelsnitz and the Voigtsberg office around 1542, and around 1764 as an official village directly to the Voigtsberg office. Lottengrün has always been parish after Theuma.

In 1856 Lottengrün was affiliated to the Oelsnitz court office and in 1875 to the Oelsnitz administration . In 1869 the place was connected to the Lottengrün station on the Herlasgrün – Oelsnitz railway line. From 1902 an industrial line branched off at Lottengrün (since 1905 train station) to the Theuma slate quarries, which was gradually extended as a public line to Chrieschwitz on the Gera Süd – Weischlitz line until 1923 . In 1951, the gradual decommissioning covered the section Lottengrün- Oelsnitz the herlasgrün-oelsnitz railway and 1970/72 the remaining railway lines, causing the station Lottengrün on October 1, 1972 went out of service.

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the Lottengrün community became part of Oelsnitz in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Oelsnitz in 1990 and became part of the Vogtland district in 1996. On January 1, 1994 Lottengrün was incorporated into Tirpersdorf.
