Luan Peters

Luan Peters (born June 18, 1946 as Carol Hirsch in Bethnal Green , London , England - † probably December 24, 2017 ) was a British actress and singer .

Life

Peters appeared in the 1960s under the pseudonym Karol Keyes and from 1964 had record deals with EMI / Columbia and Fontana . In 1967 she also began an acting career, initially with guest appearances in British television series such as Doctor Who , Randall & Hopkirk - Detective Agency with Ghost and Task Force Police .

In the early 1970s she changed her name to Luan Peters and in 1971 she released two singles with Polydor , including the title If you love me , which was released in Germany . That same year she made her feature film debut in Anthony Sloman's drama Not Tonight, Darling , and then appeared in the hammer films Dracula's Witch Hunt and Only Vampires Kiss Bloody on. She also appeared in a recurring role on the soap opera Coronation Street . In the mid-1970s, her film engagements became rarer, but she continued to be seen regularly in television productions until the late 1970s, including guest roles in Die Profis and Fawlty Towers .

In 1975 she appeared on Top of the Pops as a singer in the group 5000 Volts with the title I'm on Fire , the song actually being sung by Tina Charles and Peters only sang playback . On October 8, 1977, she sang in Episode 35 of broadcast music store their at CBS published Disco title Love Countdown .

In 1981 she was in the Australian comedy film Banana Airlines - The world's craziest pleasure line for the last time in a movie, her last TV role to date, she played in 1990 in the police series The Bill .

Peters presumably died on December 24, 2017, but her death did not become public knowledge until June 2018.
