Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (born September 9, 1986 in Yaoundé , Cameroon ) is a Cameroonian basketball player who plays in the NBA with the Houston Rockets . The 2.03 m tall Cameroonian plays in the small forward and power forward positions. Mbah a Moute is the prince of the village where he was born. He is the son of the General Director of the Cameroonian Labor Administration ( Fonds National de l'Emploi or National Employment Fund ), Camille Mouté à Bidias.

Career

Before playing in the NBA, he played for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In the 2007-08 season he had an average of 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was drafted in 2008 by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round in 37th place. At the Milwaukee Bucks, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute played on the grid in his substitute position Power Foward. In the 2009/10 season he achieved a points average of 9.1 points per game and a rebound average of 5.6 rebounds per game. His field throw rate was 48 percent and his quota of three was 35.3 percent.

During the summer of 2013, Mbah a Moute was transferred from the Bucks to the Sacramento Kings . In return, the Bucks received draft picks for years 2014 and 2015. For the Kings, however, Mbah a Moute only ran in 13 games. In November he was transferred again from the Kings. This time the club traded him to Minnesota to the Minnesota Timberwolves . Derrick Williams moved to Sacramento in exchange. For the 2014/15 season , a move to the Philadelphia 76ers followed , with a record of 18 wins and 64 defeats as the third worst team. After the season he signed a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers .

After his contract in Los Angeles, Mbah a Moute moved within the Western Conference and signed a one-year contract with the Houston Rockets . After a year he left the Rockets and rejoined the Los Angeles Clippers .
