The Cameroonian national basketball team for men represents Cameroon at international basketball matches. After the Cameroonian selection could only take part in the continental finals of the African Championship three times until 2007 , it has since been a regular participant in the continental championships. In its early days, the future football official Issa Hayatou was also a member of the selection. In her first qualification for the finals in 15 years, she won a silver medal in 2007. But since only gold medalists Angola qualified directly for the Olympic Games in 2008 , they had to go to an additional qualifying tournament in which they lost the two preliminary round games against Croatia and Puerto Rico . So you missed the first participation in a global finals, for which you could not qualify at the following African Championships.
