The Mauritanian national basketball team for men represents Mauritania at international basketball matches. Between 1978 and 1985, the selection qualified for four of five finals of the African Championship , with her last participation in 1985, a sixth place. Subsequently, she has not been able to qualify for continental finals, nor has it been enough to participate in a global finals of the World Cup or the Olympic Games .
