The Moroccan men's national basketball team represents Morocco at international basketball matches. Although the Moroccan federation already joined the world federation FIBA in 1936 , the Moroccan men’s selection, in contrast to the Egyptian selection, only took part in the national team finals with the establishment of the continental federation FIBA Africa . A medal was won in each of the first four African Championships in the 1960s. In 1965 you could win the competition in Tunisia , while you won a silver medal in front of your own audience in 1964 and 1968. At the subsequent Olympic Games in 1968 , however, they lost all games, including the final placement game against African champions Senegal , and finished in 16th and last place. Then you could only win another medal with the bronze medal in front of your own audience at the 1980 African Championships.
