The 1964 African Basketball Championship , the second African Basketball Championship , took place from March 4 to 8, 1964 in Casablanca , Morocco , where the championship was held for the first time. The winner was the national team of the United Arab Republic , which was unbeaten for the second time in a row, the title. For the first time the teams of Mali , Palestine , Senegal and Tunisia took part.
