The national basketball team of the Republic of the Congo is the selection of basketball players from the Republic of the Congo , which the Fédération Congolaise de Basketball represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest success was the fifth place at the 1980 African Championship . In 1962, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In January 2014, the team was ranked 77th in the men's world rankings .
