Lucian Goian (born February 10, 1983 in Suceava ) is a Romanian football player . The defender has been back in the Indian Super League for Mumbai City FC since July 2017 .
Career
Goian began his career at Foresta Suceava , from where he was brought into the first team of Foresta Fălticeni in 2001 . In the first season, the club was tenth in Divizia B , Seria I. In January 2003, he moved to league rivals FC Oneşti , where he finished the season with 3rd place. As a result, Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț , who at the time was in the top division, Divizia A , took notice of him and signed him during the winter break. At the end of the season he was relegated with the club from the upper house.
Then Goian moved to the Romanian top club Dinamo Bucharest , where he was often used in the second team that played in Divizia B. With runner-up and cup victory this season was the most successful in the career of the central defender so far. In the 2005/06 season , the third place followed, with Goian in the second half of the season was loaned to Ceahlăul.
After his return in summer 2006, he was awarded again to Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț during the winter break 2006/07 . The loan ended at the end of the season and since the beginning of the 2007/08 season he has been back in the Dinamo Bucharest squad. There he was only used irregularly and shortly after the start of the 2010/11 season, he moved to league rivals Astra Ploieşti . There he became a core force. During the winter break of 2011/12 he moved to Tianjin Teda in China. After a year he moved to Beijing Baxy in the Chinese League One . In February 2015 he returned to FC Brașov in his home country. After relegation in 2015 , he moved to CFR Cluj . In July 2016, he was hired by Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League .
