Ludovic Tézier
Ludovic Tézier (born 1968 in Marseille ) is a French opera singer with a baritone voice .
life and work
Tézier was a member of the Lucerne theater company before he was accepted into the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra de Lyon . At the beginning of his career he was successful as Mozart's Count Almaviva and Don Giovanni , as well as in belcanto roles such as Donizetti's Belcore and Malatesta , but soon also as Marcello (in La Bohème ) and as Ford (in Falstaff ). At the Salzburg Whitsun Festival in 2012, the singer made his debut as Marc-Antoine in a concert performance of Massenet's Cléopâtre . In the spring of 2015 he gave Amonasro in Giuseppe Verdi's Aida in a concert performance alongside Jonas Kaufmann and Anja Harteros .
In 2013 he gave Don Carlo di Vargas in the premiere of La forza del destino at the Bavarian State Opera .
In 2015 he was nominated for the International Opera Award as best singer.
