Ludwig August Emil Franz von Guionneau (born December 11, 1749 in Glogau , † February 27, 1829 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general and general manager of the army.

Life

His parents were the Prussian captain in the infantry regiment "von Krockow" Jaques von Guionneau (* July 1, 1704 - April 2, 1789) and his wife Maria Sylvia, née de Renouard de Viville (* 1718 - June 5, 1782).

Military career

Guionneau came in April 1764 as a private corporal in the infantry regiment "Duke of Braunschweig" of the Prussian Army and was promoted to second lieutenant until August 1772 . On March 30, 1778, he was assigned as adjutant general to his boss , Duke Friedrich von Braunschweig . Guionneau took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession and returned to his old regiment on July 1, 1779. There he was on April 15, 1782 Premier Lieutenant and on September 26, 1788 captain and assistant to the Upper War College. On May 18, 1790 he was major and on September 26, 1790 assessor at the Oberkriegskollegium, where he was responsible for matters of the infantry. For his achievements, Guionneau received the order Pour le Mérite on October 22, 1792 .

On July 7, 1798 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and on May 23, 1800 he became a colonel . From July 2, 1804, he received an allowance of 500 thalers to his salary. On September 7, 1805 he was entrusted with the management of business as general director of the army. During the Fourth Coalition War , Guionneau was at the headquarters of King Friedrich Wilhelm III. On August 16, 1806 he was appointed general director, which again earned him an allowance of 500 thalers. After the lost war Guionneau received on 30 March 1809 his farewell as a major general with a pension of 800 taler, which initially only half could be paid.

Ludwig August Emil Franz von Guionneau died in Berlin in 1829 at the age of 79 and was buried in Cemetery I of the Jerusalem and New Churches in front of the Hallesches Tor . The grave has not been preserved.

Guionneau married on February 2, 1786 in the French Friedrichstadtkirche in Berlin Wilhelmine Sophie von Lüderitz (* December 20, 1756 in Schöneberg, Wanzleben district; † March 17, 1827). The couple had several children:
