Bernhard Ludwig Friedrich von Voltz

Bernhard Ludwig Friedrich Vol (t) z , later von Voltz , (* 1791 in Mosbach , Baden, † March 26, 1872 in Munich ) was the district president of Middle Franconia from 1849 to 1854 .

Life

Voltz came from the Palatinate and was of bourgeois origin. He studied law at the University of Heidelberg from 1808 and in 1809 was one of the founders of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . After military service in 1814, he joined the Bavarian state services in 1816, initially as an assessor in the Rhine district. Voltz was later ennobled and was Ministerialrat in the Ministry of the Interior in Munich from 1836 to 1847 . In 1847 he was appointed to the State Council. From 1849 to 1854 he was the district president of Middle Franconia. He then worked again as a State Councilor in the Ministry of the Interior until 1865 and then retired for health reasons.
