Ludwig II (Württemberg-Urach)
Ludwig II. , Count of Württemberg-Urach, (born April 3, 1439 in Waiblingen , † November 3, 1457 in Urach ) was the eldest son of Count Ludwig I and Mechthild of the Palatinate and after the death of his father in 1450 the official regent the county of Württemberg-Urach until 1457.
Ludwig grew up at the Uracher Hof, Ludwig I's residence after the division of Württemberg stipulated in the Nürtingen Treaty in 1442. After the early death of the father, a dispute broke out over the guardianship of the not yet twelve-year-old son. Ludwig II, who finally came of age, took office on October 13, 1453 at the age of 15. He died in 1457 at the age of 18.
