Luis Pérez Raygosa

Luis Pérez Raygosa (born August 21, 1973 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Mexico City .

Life

Carlos Enrique Samaniego López received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Mexico on May 13, 2000 . After two years as prefect at the seminary and boys' seminary in Mexico City, he began studying at the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2002 , where he obtained a licentiate in spirituality .

In 2004 he was again prefect at the seminary, where he was responsible for the field of spirituality from 2007 to 2019. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the College of Consultors and the Council of Priests of the Archdiocese. From 2015 to 2019 he was responsible for the work of the diocesan commission for the canonization process. In 2017 he was appointed Canon and Chapter Secretary at Mexico City Cathedral . At the same time he took over the leadership of the parish of San Jacinto and became Episcopal Vicar for the Vicariate of Miguel Agustín Pro .

On 25 January 2020 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Suava and auxiliary bishop in Mexico City. The Archbishop of Mexico City, Carlos Cardinal Aguiar Retes , donated him and the auxiliary bishops Héctor Mario Pérez Villareal and Francisco Daniel Rivera Sánchez MSpS, who were appointed with him, episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year . The consecration service in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City was largely closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic . Cardinal Aguiar Retes appointed him after his ordination as episcopal vicar for pastoral care.
