Luka Tankulic (born June 21, 1991 in Ahlen ) is a German - Croatian soccer player .

Career

Luka Tankulic started his football career in Ahlen, the city of his birth. His first club was the Ahlener SG. In 2002 the striker was hired for the first time by Rot Weiss Ahlen (then LR Ahlen), where he played in youth until 2005. In 2005 Tankulic transferred to Borussia Dortmund , where he was used in various youth teams until 2007. In 2007 the striker moved again to Ahlen. He was regularly used in the U-19 and second team.

Under interim coach Andreas Zimmermann , Tankulic made his first competitive appearance in the first team on September 22, 2009 in the second round of the DFB Cup against SpVgg Greuther Fürth , in which he immediately attracted attention with two goals. He made his second division debut a few days later, on the weekend directly after the cup game on matchday 7 against 1. FC Union Berlin (1: 2). Tankulic made 16 professional appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2009/10 season. In 2010 he was relegated to the 3rd league with Rot Weiss Ahlen .

In the winter of 2011 he switched to Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan , where he should strengthen the second team. During the summer break of 2011, 1. FSV Mainz 05 signed Tankulic for the second team. In 2012/13 he moved to VfL Wolfsburg , where he also strengthened the second team. After two years in the Regionalliga Nord and winning the 2014 championship , Tankulic moved to Dundee FC in Scotland in the summer of 2014 . In August 2015, the contract in Dundee was terminated.

In February 2016 he moved back to Germany to the regional league team Sportfreunde Lotte . With Lotte, he rose to the 3rd division in 2015/16.

On January 4, 2018, he moved to third division competitor SV Meppen .
