Hassan Amin (born October 11, 1991 in Darmstadt ) is an Afghan soccer player who also has German citizenship . He mostly occupies the position of left defender and is under contract with third division club SV Meppen . Amin is also an Afghan international .

Life

Hassan Amin was born in Darmstadt in October 1991 . His parents fled to the southern Hessian city six years earlier because of the war in Afghanistan . Amin also grew up in Darmstadt and graduated from high school there . Since 2014 he has had both German and Afghan citizenship.

Career

Club career

Early career steps in Darmstadt

Amin began his career at Darmstadt's local club TG 75 Darmstadt . At the age of eight he moved to the largest club in town, SV Darmstadt 98 . There he went through all youth departments up to the A youth. In the 2008/09 season he played with the U19 team in the A-Junior Oberliga Hessen. In the end, after the championship was decided at an early stage, they reached the promotion relegation, where they secured promotion to the U19 Bundesliga South / Southwest against 1. FC Saarbrücken ; Amin scored the 2-1 winner in the second leg and was instrumental in the rise of the lilies . The left defender made his debut in the Bundesliga on August 29, 2009 (3rd match day) in the 2-0 defeat against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In total, he completed 19 games in the 2009/10 season , but rose again at the end of the season in the Oberliga Hessen.

For the 2010/11 season Amin rose to the men's team from Darmstadt 98, which played in the Regionalliga Süd . He played his first game on September 7, 2010 (6th matchday); Amin played through in the 2-0 victory against the second representation of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . In total, he played five games in the first team in the first half of the season. Change to Frankfurt

For the 2011/12 season Hassan Amin moved to league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt II , where he signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2013. However, he injured himself in the preparation for the season and initially stayed at Eintracht without a use in the first half of the season. He missed 21 games and did not play in the 2011 calendar year. In the second half of the season he made his debut against SC Pfullendorf (4-0) when he came on for Marcel Titsch-Rivero in the 80th minute . In the second half of the 2011/12 season, he was used in nine games and finished third. Although he hardly played due to injury, his contract was not terminated prematurely. In his second season he became a regular in Frankfurt under the new coach Alexander Schur ; the runner-up played 33 games, scored three goals and only missed two games in the entire season due to yellow card suspensions. Therefore, his contract, which expired at the end of the season, was extended by one year to June 30, 2014. In the 2013/14 season , too , Amin was a regular player and did not miss a game until matchday 20. Disc problems and several international matches only allowed two more missions in the season.

1. FC Saarbrücken

During the AFC Challenge Cup 2014, the south-west regional division 1. FC Saarbrücken announced in May 2014 that Amin's commitment for the coming 2014/15 season was announced. After completing a trial training session earlier, the then 22-year-old signed a two -year contract with Molschder until June 30, 2016. In preparation for the season, however, he struggled with foot problems and pulled a thigh strain . After completing rehab , Amin returned to team training in early November 2014 and was in the squad for the first time on November 8 against Wormatia Worms , but was not used. However, he then fell out until the winter break because his foot problems returned; he was only able to train with the team again at the end of February 2015. The defender made his debut on March 1, 2015 with the second team in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar in the 1: 5 defeat against SV Elversberg 07 II . After three appearances in the major league, Amin made his competitive debut in the regional league team on April 5, 2015 against 1899 Hoffenheim II , when he came on for Peter Chrappan at half time. Because of his training deficit, he came only to one more game on matchday 34 in the 4-0 win against Wormatia Worms. With 1. FC Saarbrücken he was runner-up in the Regionalliga Südwest this season , but failed in the promotion round to the 3rd league at the Würzburger Kickers .

In the first half of his second season at Saarbrücken, he was used in nine games. However, he did not complete any of these games over the full distance. Even in the second half of the season, he could not play his way into the first team long term. In the 2-0 win against SV Elversberg 07 on March 19, 2016, the focus was on Amin when he blocked a shot on the goal line with his hand in the 80th minute, but the referee decided on a corner kick. The sports court then suspended the defender for two league games. In total, Amin played 16 games in the regional league. At the end of May 2016 it was announced that his contract with Saarbrücken, which expired at the end of the season, had not been extended.

SV Waldhof Mannheim

At the beginning of June 2016, the southwest regional league team SV Waldhof Mannheim announced that the German-Afghan had been given a two-year contract until June 30, 2018. He made his debut on August 5, 2016 (1st matchday) in a 3-2 win against the Stuttgarter Kickers . In his first season, Amin was able to assert himself directly as a regular player and completed 31 out of 36 possible games. As a runner-up in the Regionalliga Südwest you qualified for the promotion games in the 3rd division . After both games against SV Meppen ended goalless, it was a penalty shoot-out. Despite a goal from Amin, they lost 3: 4 and missed promotion. For the 2017/18 season, Amin was appointed as the successor to Michael Fink as captain of the first team at SV Waldhof Mannheim. With his good performance he aroused the interest of other clubs there.

SV Meppen

In April 2018, SV Meppen announced that Amin was moving to the club for the coming season and had signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2020. On the left defensive flank, the German Afghans harmonized with his partner Marco Komenda , who in turn held the position of the left central defender, but only three other teams had to accept more goals than the Emsländer. On the other hand, Amin was able to score with six assists, whereas he scored five goals himself in the 2019/20 season and also ended up in midfield with Meppen in terms of the goals conceded this time. Furthermore, the club had played for the promotion relegation place, especially in the end of the season. After the end of the season, the player expressed the desire to change and did not renew his expired contract. After several weeks of negotiations, he finally agreed with SV Meppen on a new working paper that will be valid until June 2021.

National team

Amin was discovered by a talent scout and recommended for the national team . He was invited to a seminar in Doha by Mohammad Yousef Kargar in April 2014 and was able to prevail. Without having played an international match beforehand, the defender was then nominated for the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 by Erich Rutemöller , who had taken over the coaching position from Kargar on an interim basis. There he made his debut in the first group game against the Philippines (0-0). That was his only appearance in the tournament in which Afghanistan finished fourth.

Under the new coach Slaven Skeledžić , Amin was regularly appointed to the national team and was able to book a few appearances, including a in the first victory in a World Cup qualification against Cambodia (1-0), but it was only under Petar Šegrt that he became an undisputed regular player. This nominated him for the South Asian Championship 2015 , where Amin was the only field player to play for the entire season and in the end became vice South Asian champion after the final defeat against India . On March 28, 2017, Amin scored his first goal to make it 1-1 in the Asian Cup qualifier against Vietnam .
