Career

Career start at SV Meppen

Leonard Bredol was born on August 1st, 2000 and already played in the F-Jugend for SV Meppen . With this he went through all junior play classes and from 2014 belonged to the youth performance center Emsland (JLZ Emsland). In the previous season he was a regular player in the club's C-Juniors with 23 appearances (1 goal). In the 2014/15 season, he scored a goal in 22 league games and was promoted to the club's B youth team in the 2015/16 season. In the same season he made 25 championship appearances in which he himself remained goalless, and at the end of the season rose to the B-Junior Regional League North as Lower Saxony champion (B-Junioren-Niedersachsenliga) with the U-17 of the JLZ Emsland. In this he represented SV Meppen again, but was much more offensive than in the previous season.

As a regular player and temporary team captain , he was used by Michael Wester in all 26 league games in the 2016/17 season and scored ten goals. In the final ranking it was only enough for SV Meppen for tenth place in the table. Under Alfons Weusthof , Bredol made it into the A-Youth at the beginning of the 2017/18 season and already scored a goal on his debut in the first round match against the U-19s of TuS Komet Arsten (7-1 home win). Even after Weusthof was replaced by Michael Wester during the winter break, Bredol Stammkraft remained on the Meppener offensive and had a record of 22 league appearances and four goals by the end of the season. In the final ranking of the A-Juniors-Regionalliga-Nord , in which the team was promoted only in the previous season, the newcomer came third in the table.

First professional contract with the Emsländer

In the summer break before the 2018/19 season, Bredol received his first professional contract, with the 17-year-old high school student signing a two-year contract. Subsequently, however, he still belonged primarily to the club's A youth, for whom he made 19 championship appearances and eleven goals in the entire 2018/19 season and which ranked sixth in the table in the final standings. Furthermore, he was used by Wester in the A-Juniors Lower Saxony Cup, in which the team did not get beyond the second round. In autumn 2018, the 1.80 m tall right-footed player made his debut in men's football when he played for the full 90 minutes in the eighth round of the Weser-Ems District League - Group 3 for the Meppener's second team against ASV Altenlingen . In another season game he was also on the bench, but was not used by this. After he had not appeared in a single championship game of the professionals before, Bredol sat on May 18, 2019 in the last championship game of the 3rd division 2018/19 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the first time in a competitive game on the professional team's bench, but found no consideration in the 2: 4 away defeat. In the summer break that followed, the 18-year-old completed his Abitur at the Meppen Gymnasium Marianum, alongside his teammate Ted Tattermusch .

From the 2019/20 season, Bredol trained regularly with the professional team that he had accompanied to the training camp in Belek during the 2018/19 winter break . In the course of the third division 2019/20 season, he sat at irregular intervals on the substitute bench for the professionals, from which he was first used by Christian Neidhart on October 21, 2019 in a 1-1 draw against FC Viktoria Köln . In the 83rd minute of the game, the right foot for Marius Kleinsorge came onto the field. Until the winter break, he played in two other third division games, the last of which he was on the pitch as a left-back on December 21, 2019 for the first time. To date (as of January 1, 2020) he has also been used in four district league games, scoring one goal himself and preparing another for a teammate.
