Lynn Cohen (* 10. August 1933 in Kansas City , Missouri as Lynn Harriette Kay ; † 14. February 2020 in New York City ) was an American actress .

Life

Cohen began acting in 1983 with the film Without a Trace . She then appeared in several films and television series such as Harry beyond himself (1997), Law & Order (in 2 episodes in 2003 and 2010), Munich (2005), Across the Universe (2007), Eagle Eye - Out of Control (2008) and Everybody's Fine (2009) with. The actress was best known for her role as the unconventional housekeeper Magda in Sex and the City, as well as the two accompanying films. Her work includes more than 100 film and television productions.

In 2013 she played the role of Mags in The Hunger Games - Catching Fire .

Cohen was also active in the theater; in 1989 she made her Broadway debut with the play Orpheus Descending , and in 1997 she starred in the play Ivanov . She died on February 14, 2020 at the age of 86.
