course
The men's water rises in the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werratal.Meißner.Kaufunger forest) in the wooded Söhre . Its source is in the municipality of Söhrewald between the Franzosentriesch (approx. 490 m above sea level ) in the southwest and the Kleiner Belgerkopf (approx. 490 m ) belonging to the municipality of Helsa in the northeast near the Lobesrode desert at an altitude of about 458 m .
The eastward flowing men's water, which flows into the municipality of Helsa a few hundred meters below its origin, initially runs through the Heubruchwiesen nature reserve near Eschenstruth (NSG No. 163667), which was founded in 1989 and is 51.49 hectares in size. Afterwards, a small stream flows between the Helsa villages Sankt Ottilien and Eschenstruth , which comes from Sankt Ottilien, located southwest of the male water.
Finally leads the men water after passing southern Eschenstruth, east of the village and just west of Federal Highway 7 , approximately 308 m altitude in the coming there from the south Fulda influx Losse .
