Mäuseberg and Eulenberg are a nature reserve in the Northeim district . It is a small area of dry grass north of the Northeim district of Bühle . Both parcels lie on shell limestone north and northwest of the 313 meter high "Alte Burg" elevation, on which the remains of the old castle fortification of the same name are located.
The biotope has a diverse population of insects. There are also orchids , oats and areas of orchids . The area has semi-arid lawns and near-natural privet sloe bushes, as well as green areas with fragments of semi-arid lawn.
The nature reserve is 20 hectares . The Protection Ordinance came into force in 1988. The aim of the protection was defined as the enlargement of the semi-dry lawn areas.
