M109 group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The M109 group (also NGC-3992 group or Ursa Major Cloud ) is a group of galaxies about 55 million light years away in the constellation of the Great Bear . The group is named for their brightest galaxy, the beam spiral galaxy M109 and is part of ursa Major cluster of galaxies and thereby within the Virgo supercluster in turn part of the Super galaxy cluster Laniakea .
