NGC 3726 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is an estimated 41 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by William Herschel on February 5, 1788 .
