NGC 3719 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble-type Sbc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 256 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 130,000 ly. Together with NGC 3720 , it forms a bound pair of galaxies.
The object was discovered on March 15, 1866 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
