NGC 3700 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 407 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 120,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3694 and NGC 3695 .
The object was discovered by Robert Stawell Ball on March 31, 1867 .
