NGC 3703 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation cup at the southern sky . It is estimated to be 497 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3688 and NGC 3702 .
The object was discovered by Ormond Stone on December 31, 1885 .
